The most unique scent release system !

In 1999, Brecks introduced the next generation in soft plastics. EXUDE™… A breakthrough in soft plastic formulation. Mister Twister®, the leader in soft plastics for 25 years, set out to and succeeded in “building a better mouse trap”.

There have been scents in soft plastics for years. Getting the scent into the lure was not the problem, making it detectable by fish was. PVC is part of the chemical make-up of soft plastic lures. Once you put food items and scents in PVC, it may smell to us but there was no way to release these scents so fish could detect them prior to Exude.

Fish detect food by a variety of sensory mechanisms, but taste plays the key role in determining whether a potential food item is swallowed or rejected. In a general feeding response, the fish must first approach the food source, guided by an attractant. A feeding stimulant then determines if the food is ingested and if feeding will continue.

Exude brand soft plastic lures incorporate a proprietary process that allows attractants and feeding stimulants, previously trapped in plastic formulations, to be released and detected by fish. Exude lures react each time they come in contact with water. The initial reaction is the immediate formation of a slimy soluble coating. This coating gives the Exude lure a natural feel and releases feeding stimulants and attractants that can be easily detected by fish.

All of the Exude series now incorporates Tuff-Flex, which is an additive to the formulation. Tuff-Flex does not affect the action or the suppleness of the product. You will be able to tell the difference in that your baits are lasting longer and staying together after a number of hits and hook ups.

Scent really does make sense with EXUDE™!
